STERN DRIVE
Pro-Line 2950.
The boat was re-powered years ago with twin Volvo AD41B diesel engines that are jack-shafted to a pair of Mercruiser Bravo 2 drives.
These 200-HP diesel engines are probably one of the most reliable and bullet-proof marine diesel engines ever produced, while the Bravo 2 drives are nearly indestructible themselves.By itself, the Pro-Line 2950 is easily one of the most popular express fishing boats her size ever produced. Hundreds were sold in the 1990s, and this model was named “boat of year” by a few different boating magazines.
Coupled with the Volvo diesels, this custom boat is an offshore fisherman’s dream come true.
Being a 1997 Pro-Line model, this boat has absolutely NO WOOD in the hull –everything is fiberglass and composite, so no need to ever worry about rotten stringers, bulkheads, or transoms.

This boat has a nice head/shower, but please note that the storage tank was removed when the diesel engines were installed, hence the head cannot be used at this time.
A low-profile tank will need to be installed under the starboard engine.
The cabin air conditioner and water heater have never been used, so we cannot confirm their functionality.
This boat is easy to tow and annual wide load permits cost about 0 per year (in Michigan).
A nice Venture aluminum tri-axle bunk trailer is available. If you are interested in the trailer, please indicate this in your offer.
This boat has been regularly maintained, and the owner is very familiar with the engines, drives, and electronics.
The boat is very clean for its age.
There are signs of some dock rash along the starboard side where the previous owner had the gel-coat repaired, but the gel-coat is not properly color-matched.
See photos for details.
Sea trials are welcome, and additional/specific photos and/or videos are available for serious interested parties.
Delivery to anywhere in Michigan is available for a small fee.
Buyer must coordinate out-of-state deliveries.
The ONLY reason that we are looking to sell this boat is that we live on Lake Huron and desire to keep our fishing boat on our pier lift.
As the great lakes water levels are currently dropping, we are concerned that we will not be able to use this boat within the next year or two – we will have less than 3’ of water in front of our house when water levels return back to average.
We are simply looking to change over to a power catamaran type boat with less draft.
Hence, we are open and willing to entertain offers to negotiate a trade for a power catamaran.
Note that the Pro-Line 30/31 Walkaround (2000–05) is the same exact boat as this 2950, but with an integrated transom. Also note that wood-free construction began in 1995 for the 2950 model.
Once again, you are looking at a DIESEL Pro-Line 2950 with STERN DRIVES that is in a great condition and turnkey – ready to take out fishing!
Unfortunately, we are only willing to work with buyers from the continuous 48-states, and will not entertain offers from international buyers.
Thanks for looking.
